Every two years, we host public meetings for Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributors and beneficiaries across the country to learn more about how we invest the CPP Fund.

We visit every province that’s part of the CPP, giving people a chance to hear about how the CPP Fund is performing, explaining how we’re keeping it sustainable for the future and providing the opportunity for Canadians to ask questions and speak directly with our Senior Management Team.

We want to be open and transparent about how we’re investing the CPP Fund for present and future generations. This year, we connected with Canadians through our public meetings in:

  • Vancouver on the West Coast,
  • Edmonton, Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg in the Prairies,
  • Ottawa, Canada’s capital, and
  • Fredericton, Halifax, Charlottetown and John’s in the East.

New national virtual option

While our founding legislation requires us to hold in-person public meetings, we also provide an online meeting option for individuals unable to attend in person. Our virtual meeting enables us to engage with a broader audience, particularly those who can’t travel to the in-person sessions.

This year, our public meetings reached a record number of participants. Thank you to the thousands of Canadians who joined us!

Public meetings are a key part of our commitment to transparency and accountability. We look forward to speaking directly with the millions of contributors and beneficiaries across Canada in this pursuit.

Why the CPP is one of the best in the world

Millions of Canadians rely on the benefits they receive. Regardless of where in Canada you work, live or retire, the CPP is there.
