Campus Candidates – FAQs

All of our student opportunities, including internships, contract and full-time roles, can be found on our Campus Candidate page. It is updated often, so please  visit from time to time. You can also create a job alert that will notify you when we post a role matching your criteria.

Yes, you may apply to multiple positions at once but make sure to convey why you want each role in your cover letter and address each application for the appropriate role.

We are very fortunate to receive a high volume of applications and unfortunately meeting the recruiter or hiring manager is not always feasible during busy recruitment cycles. Our Campus team hosts many networking and professional development sessions throughout the year – keep an eye on our announcements and your universities’ career center.

Hiring managers are assigned close to the start date and many interviewers are involved in the assessment process. You may address your cover letter to “Hiring Manager”.

Instead of emailing your resume, please select “Apply for future opportunities”, that way your resume will be added to our database and searchable.  Also, please create a job alert to be notified of future roles.

Our simplified application process consists of submitting your resume, a cover letter and unofficial transcript for the role(s) that you are interested in. Should you be interested in more than one role, please submit different cover letters to explain your interest and qualifications to a specific role.

We encourage everyone to attend our informational sessions, where we explain our organizational structure and educate students on the names of departments and their functions. As you apply, you may filter the current opportunities by Position Type, Location and Functional Area.

Work authorization in the location of the position is a requirement.

Everyone is expected to be in the location of the role. Temporarily working in a different jurisdiction from the position may be possible under certain circumstances and can be discussed based on the position, term length and desired work location. Please discuss this with the recruiter during the process.

Only current students are eligible for internships and full-time campus roles. We offer some campus opportunities for new graduates on our Campus Job Board, please check job description for eligibility. If you are an Experienced professional, please refer to our Experienced Professionals Job Board.

CPP Investments recognizes the benefits of well-managed flexible working arrangements and its connection to an engaged workforce. Typical working hours align with the regional office you are a part of and/or the location of your team. Should you need flexibility, please speak with the recruiter during the interview process and if you are hired, you can then speak with your manager on expected working hours.

We hire students, interns, co-ops and new graduates at all levels of education and educational backgrounds. Each role will have different requirements so please read the job description for eligibility criteria.

Currently we have Campus Candidates in our Toronto, Hong Kong, London, San Francisco and Sao Paulo offices.

Should you need to relocate for the position, please speak with the recruiter during the process. Depending on the distance of relocation and the role, relocation support may be provided.

We are doing our best to keep all students informed on the status of their application, however, given the volume of applications, you might experience delays with us.

Should you be selected for an interview, we will send you an email – please be sure to check it on a regular basis. If we do not hear from you, we will give you a call on the number you provide on your resume. Please expect to receive a detailed plan for the interview(s) and if you have any questions or accommodations requirements, do not hesitate to clarify with us.

Our Campus Team is hosting professional development sessions for students to assist with interviewing skills, networking best practices, etc. Please connect with Campus Advisors on LinkedIn and keep an eye for upcoming events.
